Happy Women's Day 2015

Remembering that dreadful incident of 16th December 2012 still sends shiver down my spine. To be honest, it was a shame for the entire nation. We compare ourselves with the modernity of western culture, we proudly call ourselves Indian but ask yourself a simple thing, should we really feel proud or should be low down our head of shame??

I know we all are busy in our respective works and we really don’t care if someone gets raped. Well, why should we care?? She means nothing to us. Her parents should care what to do and what not to. We are happy in our life and we really don’t want to take any added pressure.

Forbid me, but what if any such type of incident happens with you or with any of your family member?? Would you feel the same way as you are feeling now or will you outrage against it?? Will you go to the police to report against the assailant or will you step out to burn him alive??

Kuch hua??

Yes!! This is what Jyoti Singh Pandey’s (she has a name, please don’t call her Nirbhaya) parent must be feeling now. They must be wishing to kill those convicted culprits. They must be praying everyday for justice. But just think for once, would they ever get justice?? Would their daughter ever come back?? The answer is a big NO…. It’s already been more than 3 years to that incident, but Jyoti’s parents are still running in and out of judicial court for justice.

This was about the incidence… Now I would tell you something which you might not know.

Recently a documentary has been released on this incidence with a personal interview with the convicted, Mukesh Singh. And this guy has something to say about the girls:

  • A girl is far more responsible for rape than a boy.
  • When being raped, she shouldn't fight back. She should just be silent and allow the rape.
  • Housework and housekeeping is for girls, not roaming in discos and bars at night doing wrong things and wearing wrong clothes.
  • You can't clap with one hand - it takes two hands. She allowed us to rape her.

Well this is what the mindset of rapist was.. Indian government banned the documentary. Perhaps they feared because the documentary showed how helpless the Indian judicial system really is. I don’t understand the reason behind banning the documentary. I would request all my friends and readers who are reading this to watch the documentary. It will surely make you realize the mindset of a cruel human being.

 NOTE:

One more thing I would like to say here. Let alone this rapist, many of Indian peoples still have this type of mindset. Just tell me, if a boy can wear shorts and roam at wee hours of night boozing around, why can’t a girl do the same?? Why this kind of differentiation?? Why a girl can’t be consider equal to their male counterpart?? Why a girl can’t be treated the same as a boy?? Why a girl always has to be a sufferer??
Please people grow up!! Especially those orthodox people who think girls should stick to household things, please grow up.. In a way you too are responsible for the crime of Rape.

P.S.

She is a mother, She is a sister;
She is a friend, she is goddess.
RESPECT HER… STOP ‘RAPE’

And wish you all a very Happy Women's Day... Hope the world gets complete safe for you !!
