My Review:

Before writing what I felt about the book, let me tell you this book was something that I was looking for since many days. Unlike the teenage love stories book this book has a matured love story. The protagonist Deeya and Arnav are pretty clear about their lives. I loved Deeya’s character; she is strong, mature and independent.

Apart from the main plot, the author has also spoke about Shreya/Shruti, a rape survivor. You need to know her story too. Can't tell everything here. I cannot give you spoilers.

The Story has everything in it, love, emotions, pain, making the reader goes through a roller coaster ride. It is set up in a futuristic world which makes the book even more special. Even while writing this review, the protagonists are hovering over my mind. 

Likes: Easy reading, Strong Characters, Matured Love, Happy Ending, A complete package

Dislike: A little bit boring in the middle parts but it can be ignored when you are reading such a beautiful story. 

Overall, a nice and beautiful read. Would recommend if you are looking for some nice love story.

My Review:

I don't know what to say about this book. As I was reading I was able to visualize each and every incident mentioned in the story. The Author has done a tremendous work. I am not sure whether Maya (the protagonist) is a fictional or a non-fictional character but surely she is just like any other girl whom we see in our daily life.

Born in a village, Maya's life was never easy. A drunkard father who considered her as a burden tried to make her marry at an age of 8. How cruel, right? Well even before that, at a tender age of 5, Maya was sexually tortured. Anyways she get saved from the marriage but life made it even more difficult for her to live.

Well to know her story, you know to read the book. I can't narrate the entire plot line here.

The way the book is written, it will keep you hooked till the very last page. The Author has made complete research on Women and their plight in our society before writing the book. Full credits to the Author, don't remember the last time I had read such a wonderful book. 

We often see a Raped person as a victim but we hardly read any story of Rape survivor. This story is about a girl who never loose hope. Even after getting sexually abused, even after getting raped, even after losing her mother, Maya chased her dreams. This story is about a girl's struggle and will take you in a journey of Mays's life. 

Trust me, you can't miss reading this book. I don't know whether you will cry at the end but trust me you will be a different person after reading this book.

My Review:

Being an ardent lover of Love genre books I feel great pleasure reading love stories. Though I have read more than fifty love genre novels, I still get attracted to the word, ‘Love’. Every book has its own taste. This book, ‘The Girl Who Knew Too Much’ is not just any love story but it also has a lot of suspense, twists and turns. This story speaks of Love, Loss, Grief, Guilt, Emotions. 

If you have read the Book Blurb you might be having a good idea about the story. When Harry found a thirteen year old girl, Akshara mourning over her mother’s death, he thought of narrating his story to Akshara. It is then, Sahiba and Siddharth takes over the story; A Triangular Love Story. 

Harry loves Sahiba. Sahiba loves Siddharth. But God has something else to offer. Siddharth dies. Oh well, I can’t narrate the entire story here, it would be unfair to the author. To get your answers you need to read the book. To be honest, you won’t regret spending your bucks on this book. 

There is a lot of drama in the story and kudos to the Author for narrating everything slowly and keeping the readers gripped to the story. First few pages might make you a little bit bore but pages later you will be hooked to the book.  

Likings: Suspense till the end, Page turner, Narration style, Emotions, Easy but Intense read.

Disliking: Not many, I pretty much loved the book.

My Review:

Well being an Engineering student, who knows better than me what an engineer deals with in his/her college life. To be honest, this book reminisced me about my college days. The grace marks is a big thing for every engineering student, until and unless you are an intelligent studious guy. Well coming to the book, like every teenage love Novels, this book has a nice cute love story to tell. I had read such stories before. 

Having said that, this book is a lot different from other books. The girl protagonist of the story doesn't accept Viraj's proposal at the very first time. Not even the second time. So it was a kind of one sided love story. What makes this book interesting is its narration style. With a very simple and easy language the Author never fails to bore the readers. So if you are someone who is looking for a light easy read, then this book is for you.

The emotions of Viraj feels quite natural. Nowhere the Author has tried to write something out of the box. Keeping it quite real, the book leaves an everlasting image among the readers.

My Review:

Let the review begin. 

Being an ardent lover of Love genre books, Thriller genre books generally fails to impress me, until and unless it has a story which would make me awestruck. Well this book, ‘Let The Game Begin’ by Sandeep Sharma impressed me till the very last page. Kudos to the Author for keeping the reader hooked till the very last page, the suspense gets revealed only in the last few pages. Oh! Wait, the book ended after 180 pages but the story didn’t. There has to be a sequel to this book and after reading this book, I won’t mind buying the next book. 

Well the book blurb says a lot about the story. It begins with the mystery of Lambasa Parvata and the cave of ‘Mrityunjay’ and rivalry between two kingdoms; Chaturanga and Sarprakt. The Author has pretty well narrated the present scenario, keeping in mind the happenings of past i.e. 4000 years ago. The way author has narrated the incidents of the past linking it with the happenings of present is commendable. A reader won’t get bore and would be always be curious to know how the story will end. Great Narration skills!

The Author has pretty well researched about the History of Chess, DNA and Reincarnation. Explaining everything in detail doesn’t leave a reader confused. Sandeep has used a simple language which makes this book an easy read, the suspense and the thrill contents makes this book a good read for those who love reading Thriller genre books.

Likings: Easy and Simple Language, Full of Thrills and Suspense, Page Turner

Disliking: Ending was good but many things went unanswered, A Sequel is much needed.

My Review:

UNNS, it took me quite long to guess what the title really means. It is only after the 100th page of the book when I found the real meaning of the word, UNNS. Like the title, the heading of the chapters made me confused too. The 100th page of the book cleared all my confusions. 

Before I begin my review, let me divide the book into 3 parts:

1. Teenage Love

2. Mission Munich

3. Mission Belmont

The first part narrates the love between  Atharva Rathod and Meher Qasim. Like many other books that I have read, this book also has a same kind of love story. Oh! well it wasn't love but a mere infatuation, I guess. Author made the protagonists fall in love with each other quite easily. That never happen in real life, does it? 

Using a simple easy language the author has built some Love in the Air. And what I didn’t like is the editing part. The Author or may be the Editor hasn’t put an end mark when a scene ends. Sometimes it will make the reader confused. 

The Second part, Mission Munich is a pleasure to read, only if I hadn’t watch the Salman Khan starrer movie. I won’t say the movie name or else you can easily guess the plot line used. Let the suspense be intact. So if you have watched that movie then you no need to read this phase of the book ‘coz it would be easier to know how the mission will end. I skipped a few pages. 

Now let me come to the third part, just like the second part here the protagonist Atharva is in another mission. But unlike the previous mission, this mission was something new to read. And definitely a reader will enjoy it. 

A double unexpected ending is what makes this book an enjoyable read. Had it not been the ending I would have rated this quite poorly but a double climax at the end was something which I had never thought. Kudos to the Author’s brain. 

Likings: Easy Read, Page Turner, Double Climax at the End, Love and Hate chemistry between the Protagonists

Disliking: No End Marks at the end of the scenes, some parts were inspired by a Bollywood movie.

My Review:

Sandeshe aate hain, hume tadpate hain, k chitthi aati hai, to pooch jati hai k ghar kab aaoge.. Likho kab aaoge…

There is a reason why I started my review with the above lines. Every time I hear the word Patriotism, the one song that my mind plays is Sandeshe aate hain from the movie Border. And while reading the book I had the same kind of Goosebumps. No, this isn’t a story about Bhagat Singh or any other freedom fighter but this book is about 4 patriots; Aditya, Raghav, Salman and Varun, who can go to any extent to make India a corruption free and developed country. 

The Book Blurb says a lot about the story so I’m not going to waste your time writing the contents of the book. Let me straight come to the point. The Author has brilliantly crafted the story narrating the present and past life of all the characters. This book is definitely a page turner and nowhere between the pages will you get bored. 

Being an ardent lover of Politics it was a great pleasure for me to read the book. I have read around 100 books till now and it won’t be a lie if I say this book definitely has a different plotline. The Hindi verses used in the book, ‘Dekhna nahi, Karna hai’,‘Isey Prasad Chahiye’ adds more spice to the book. 

This book will take you the real world of politics, not just that it also shows you the way how to overcome the political problems that we are facing everyday. 

If you think, ‘Is desh ka kuch nahi ho sakta’, then I bet after reading this book your whole perspective will change. 

Likings: Page Turner, Simple Language, Narration Style, The Twists

Disliking: ummmm…. Let me think….. Naaaa, I didn’t find any.

Well, in this book the Author has provided the writings of his wife’s diary. Though it is a fictional work, while reading the book I’m sure you would feel as if you’re reading someone’s diary. Kudos to the Author for bringing in the perfect emotion through his story.

The story mainly revolves around Pournima Apte and her day to day life. From finding her first love to breaking up with him, from falling in love for the second time to being a lesbian, this book has a lot to tell. Well to know more about Pournima, Abhi, Raghav, Aniket you need to read the book. I’m sorry but I can’t disclose everything here.

Likings:

• ·         The way Author has narrated the whole incidents of Pournima’s life is quite amazing. You can easily connect to her.
• ·         Definitely a page turner and you won’t like stopping midway.
• ·         Easy read, the small images between the pages makes the story even more interesting.

Disliking:

• ·         Around 100 pages (If you take the acknowledgement things out), won’t go well with serious readers.
• ·         The character Pournima falls in love quite easily. Love never happens that easily, does it?
• ·         Expected ending.

My Review:

“Adhira” – the name itself provides some goosebumps. By checking its meaning on Google, I found Adhira means Lightning (Strong Female) and as per tradition this word is commonly used for naming Hindu girls. Just like the book title, the girl Adhira (Protagonist of the story) is a strong independent woman who being married since last 5 years, works for her own. The story mainly revolves around her. Apart from the main plot, there is a sub plot which tells us the story of Riddhi (Adhira’s best friend cum soul sister)

Things were quite normal in Adhira’s life but one day when she got the news that she is suffering from Bone Marrow Aplasia and has only 8 months to survive, her life took a U-Turn. Still without selfishly caring about her, she was more concerned for Riddhi’s marriage.

Who is Riddhi? Who is Siddharth? What’s is the story of Adhira? Well, you need to read this book to get your answers. Disclosing everything here will be unfair to the Author.

Now coming back to my review, let me tell you one thing, the first half was a complete bore. Many a times I got confused what’s going on between the pages. One thing that amazed me was, how can someone act so calmly when she gets the news that she is dying in some 8 months. Adhira’s reaction to her disease was something I couldn’t digest. To be honest, after reading around 60-70 pages, I had no interest in reading it further. But since the book was provided in exchange of an honest review, I had to complete the book. And when I finished the book, I literally thanked the Author for writing such a brilliant story. If you don’t consider the first few pages of the book, then this book certainly deserves 5 stars.

Wait until Riddhi enters the scene!

My Review:

Being a fan of love genre books it feels a great pleasure when I get to read a good Thriller genre book.  When you finish reading a book, either you get pissed off by the storyline or you start praising the way it is written. And definitely Ashvamedha falls in the latter category. With full of suspense and an unexpected ending this book deserves a place in your book shelf.

Ashwin Jamwal, the protagonist of the story is a man with ambition. He wanted to bring a change in the society. Recruited as a district collector he wanted to work for the welfare of the peoples. But as we know the system is quite corrupted and things don’t work as per our plans, Ashwin was being transferred to 4 different towns in a span of 2 years. And when he realized it isn’t going to work in a legal way, he decides to join Politics and it is then the whole story unfolds. 

Apart from Ashwin, there are a lot of other characters in the story. I’m not that good in remembering all their names. While reading the book often I felt that the Author has used more characters than needed but a few pages later, I realized every character’s importance and their part in the story. Well, the review cannot be completed without introducing you all with Hades. Yes! He is one of the most important character of the story. 

Who is Hades? What is his part in the story? Hades is none other than Arun (Ashwin’s best friend). Oops! I disclosed the suspense. Oh, wait! There is a twist at the end. It would be complete unfair if I disclose everything here. Hades is someone else but who? Well, you will get to know about everything once you pick up the book and start reading it. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Likings: An Unexpected Ending, Simple Language, Easy Read, Page Turner, Worth your bucks.

Disliking: One time read, Can be used as an script by the directors of Bollywood.

My review:

Wow! Now that is something that I have never read before. This book broke the stereotypes. Many of you might outrage against the storyline and you might sit in the dharnas too. But seriously the storyline is intriguing and at the end you will be left with a question, should this be legalized? 

The book cover is really attractive and if you are someone who buy a book looking at its cover then you might end in buying this one too. The story revolves around two female protagonists: Rihana and Zara. They have a strong bond between them, may be they are bff or maybe they are soul sisters or maybe they have a different side to the story. If I disclose everything here, why would you care buying the book? *Winks*

Before commenting on the way of writing let me tell you my likings and disliking about the story. 

Zara appears sweet and cute. Rihana appears to be hot. The start isn’t much interesting and you might need to drag yourself until the entry of Shaurya. The story gets interesting after that.  I don’t understand the logic behind Rihana falling for every other male she meets. I mean, if she had fallen in love I would have understood the thing but falling for every male only for sex is something I couldn’t digest. Be it with Dr. Saif, the Flight Attendant, Zubair or Major Shergil, all she wanted was some hardcore sex. 

The best thing about the book is its end. The author has kept the suspense till the last. Until you reach the last few pages of the book, you just can’t guess how the story will end. The end leaves a serious message to the society. The author has brilliantly written the book and editor has also done a good work to keep the book error free.

Likings: Cover Page, Friendship between Rihana and Zara, Out of box thinking by Author, The plot might not go well with many but still the Author dared to pen down. Admirable!

Disliking: Most of the pages are filled with Booze and Sex.

My Review:

We all know that the sun doesn’t move, it is the earth that revolves round the sun. There are many such things which happen in our day to day life.  How if someone writes a book narrating those small little things? Good, no? Well this book, ‘Canvas of a Storyteller’ has 14 short stories that one teenage can easily relate to. Every chapter, every story has something or other to tell and the best part, between every story the Author himself has something to tell. Like me, a reader will feel as if the Author is not just telling the story but showing the reality that we face in our day to day life. Mr. Aniruddha did a Grandmomma here!

The first chapter, ‘No, It’s Not Okay’ is a story of a baby. Yes, a baby. We all love to be around new born babies, don’t we? But how many of you have thought about the baby’s feelings. Well the Author here just portrayed that. And trust me you will smile reading this story.

The second chapter, ‘Distant Dream’ is of a school going girl and her friendship. Full of emotions one can easily relate his own life with this story. We all have been in and out of friendship. Misunderstandings even break the best of friends.

As you read further you will many such stories, describing all might make this review a long one. So let me cut it short. My favorite of all the stories was, ‘The Resurrection’. This story might make you bit emotional. So get ready for some cries and tears.

One more thing I would like to include. There are two stories, ‘A Princess’s Diary’ and ‘A Princess’s Diary- Reprise’. Both the story speaks of Father-Daughter relationship; still both are complete opposite to each other. The Author must be admired for using the same words but writing two different stories.

Likings: Easy light read, Small Chapters, Way of Narration, Feels like as if you reading someone’s diary.

Disliking: Ummm…. Teenagers would love this book but this book won’t go pretty well if you are someone looking for intense read. Won’t work well among adults.

Overall: A Good Read.

P.S. I know the Author personally and I have read many of his writings. Was expecting more!

My Review:

Some books make you cry, some make you smile but there are only a few books which can make you smile, cry and leave an everlasting impression in your mind. This book, ‘The Colour of Love’ can make your emotions up and down. I don’t really have the words to express my feelings about this book. Such awesome it was!

Usually while posting my reviews, I give a small indication about the storyline. This time I’m not giving you guys any hints or guesses. With millions of twist and turns, till the very last page, this book certainly deserves a place in your bookshelves. Buy and read it now!

This is Author’s 2nd book and trust me it is way better than his first work. If his first book In Love and Free was good, this really is a GEM. With easy flow of words, narrating the protagonist’s parts with perfect emotions, this book deserves thousand claps. You can never guess the end until and unless you reach the last few pages of the book.

I might have given a 4-star rating to this book but just for its ending, I couldn’t stop myself from giving it a 5-star.

Likings: Simple Language, Perfect Emotions, Chemistry between Male and Female Protagonists, Way the Political War has been described.

Disliking: There are a few grammatical errors, may be the editor just took a nap at some pages.

Overall: With a perfect ending, this book is worth your bucks.
