His craze for Bollywood songs never cease to amaze others as his veins start to shake even at their very mention.

Book Blurb:

I  was uncomfortably aware of my conscience every time I faintly turned the page of her diary, and every time a feeling went through my nerves, like I was about to bite my own tongue. How had something so simple become so tangled and complicated suddenly?

I still remember the first time I had met her. As much as I tried not to think about her, she kept flitting into my consciousness or into my line of sight. And I was clear that I wanted her. I want to formalize the relationship. How? I don’t know. But yes, my sentiments were really honest. That’s it.
But now, it’s something different.

My Review:

Do you like reading someone’s personal diary? I don’t like reading someone’s personal diary but there is a different kind of excitement in reading someone’s personal thoughts. Well, in this book the Author has provided the writings of his wife’s diary. Though it is a fictional work, while reading the book I’m sure you would feel as if you’re reading someone’s diary. Kudos to the Author for bringing in the perfect emotion through his story.

The story mainly revolves around Pournima Apte and her day to day life. From finding her first love to breaking up with him, from falling in love for the second time to being a lesbian, this book has a lot to tell. Well to know more about Pournima, Abhi, Raghav, Aniket you need to read the book. I’m sorry but I can’t disclose everything here.

Likings:
  • ·         The way Author has narrated the whole incidents of Pournima’s life is quite amazing. You can easily connect to her.
  • ·         Definitely a page turner and you won’t like stopping midway.
  • ·         Easy read, the small images between the pages makes the story even more interesting.

Disliking:
  • ·         Around 100 pages (If you take the acknowledgement things out), won’t go well with serious readers.
  • ·         The character Pournima falls in love quite easily. Love never happens that easily, does it?
  • ·         Expected ending.

 My Ratings: 3/5

Published By: Author Paradise Publishers

Pages: 227

Price: Rs. 180

ISBN: 978-93-857-8337-1

About The Author:

Aditti Gaur was born in New Delhi, but her complete upbringing was done in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Years later, she moved to Gurgaon in 2011, post her marriage. She worked for the leading DTH Company for almost 5 to 6 years. She holds a respectable past experience working there, but, she quit that 9 to 6 profile job, because somewhere deep inside her heart she knew that job is not meant for her.

When she completely realized this fact she silently surrendered herself to her passion – writing. She started her writing experience through her blog. She used to write her thoughts, views about everything and short stories. A die-heart music lover and almost crazy for her favorite musicians, she also loves reading.

She takes a step ahead in pursuing her passion by writing her debut book ‘Adhira…Love: Lost & Found’. By this, she tried to explain the life of a girl. It is a story about a girl and her life journey of struggles, achievements, responsibilities, passion & love of her life. The journey, where, she realized that sometimes… silence is the most powerful scream and indication of something being terribly wrong.

Book Blurb:

What will you choose between your life and death?
Who would you give preference, yourself, your family or your friends?

She achieved everything she wanted. She gave way to who wandered away from their path or had no opportunity by founding a music studio and exploring her own love for music. Her life was perfect until the day her world went upside down. She quietly surrendered to the situations and stood brave for rest of her world. Her friends also wanted her to move on. But then HE arrived. HE was her admirer and the only one, she was comfortable with. Still, she pulled her feet back when love bloomed in her life again instead of indulging into HIS life. So, what troubled her?

That was not the end of her story, but was it the beginning or she just had a pit-stop? Come let’s discover the destination of her story.

My Review:

Adhira” – the name itself provides some goosebumps. By checking its meaning on Google, I found Adhira means Lightning (Strong Female) and as per tradition this word is commonly used for naming Hindu girls. Just like the book title, the girl Adhira (Protagonist of the story) is a strong independent woman who being married since last 5 years, works for her own. The story mainly revolves around her. Apart from the main plot, there is a sub plot which tells us the story of Riddhi (Adhira’s best friend cum soul sister)

Things were quite normal in Adhira’s life but one day when she got the news that she is suffering from Bone Marrow Aplasia and has only 8 months to survive, her life took a U-Turn. Still without selfishly caring about her, she was more concerned for Riddhi’s marriage.

Who is Riddhi? Who is Siddharth? What’s is the story of Adhira? Well, you need to read this book to get your answers. Disclosing everything here will be unfair to the Author.

Now coming back to my review, let me tell you one thing, the first half was a complete bore. Many a times I got confused what’s going on between the pages. One thing that amazed me was, how can someone act so calmly when she gets the news that she is dying in some 8 months. Adhira’s reaction to her disease was something I couldn’t digest. To be honest, after reading around 60-70 pages, I had no interest in reading it further. But since the book was provided in exchange of an honest review, I had to complete the book. And when I finished the book, I literally thanked the Author for writing such a brilliant story. If you don’t consider the first few pages of the book, then this book certainly deserves 5 stars.

Wait until Riddhi enters the scene!

Likings: Unique Plot, Emotions, Easy Read, Small Chapters, Love Chemistry
Disliking: Poor Editing, Many Typos, A Boring Start.

My Ratings: 3.5/5
(Beginners may not like it but pick the book if you are looking for an intense read)
