Anurag was born in Patna (Bihar) on 2nd November 1978 to Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh and Mrs. Champa Singh. His love for the written word started with his near addiction to comic books during his initial years – a habit that did not always go well with his academically inclined parents.

Anurag was forced to give up the comforts of home at the tender age of 5 years, when, driven by the need for quality educated he was admitted to the Mount Egmont School hostel in Kurseong, Darjeeling. Anurag loves to meet new people and explore new places. “A lifetime might not be enough to soak in the beauty of the entire world, but one needs to make an attempt,” says Anurag, describing his love for travel.

He is also an avid reader and likes to read anything that he can lay his hands on.

Book Blurb:

Rahul had everything going his way – a soaring career, a happy family and all else a man his age could yearn for. And then suddenly his life began to crumble all around him, disintegrating him, disintegrating element after precious element, leaving him to watch in helpless horror.

Avantika, a pretty, vivacious girl who had come into Rahul’s life by pure incident, literally, has suddenly gone missing. Just like that, without as much as a trace.

Shalini, Rahul’s first love and a girl accustomed to leading life on her own terms. Hailing from a family that exerts considerable influence in the galleries of politics and power, she certainly has the wherewithal to impact a lot of things. Even lives.

My Reviews:

Before I say anything, let me say that the first thing that came out of my mouth after finishing the book, “A Shocked expression of WOW”. The story, the characters, the narration, last but not the least, the writings has left no stone unturned to make this book a bestselling.

The story starts with Rahul (the male protagonist) bumping into an air-hostess, Avantika. As time passed, Avantika became an important part of his life. But before anything could fall back to its place, Avantika went on missing. Rahul’s assumptions said it must be Shalini (Rahul’s powerful ex-wife) who abducted her. And then the story moves on…

(Don’t want to write everything here or else it would take away the awesomeness of the book, read it to know, what happens next in their life.)

At first, I thought this book is written based on the Bollywood movie, “Rishtey” (Anil Kapoor starrer) but the Author proved me wrong. The ending or the climax was something which made me sad; it has an ending which I have never read before.

Apart from all this, the Author has beautifully described father-daughter love, husband-wife love and the problems which could arise post-marriage, and that makes it different from the other books of its kind.

My Ratings: 5/5

(irrespective of my review and ratings, I would like to recommend this book to all)
