It Happened That Night

Last night we slept together and honestly I was not ashamed of that. During our love making when he said that he wants to spend his life with me, I was perplexed. It’s not that I don’t like him, I obviously do like him and spending my life with him would be truly awesome but would the society accept us?
There were many such questions buzzing in my brain as I was relishing my morning coffee. He was still asleep on the bed. I didn’t want to disturb him. I caressed his hair and gave a slight peck on his cheek. Definitely he was one of the cutest guys I have ever met.

Last night while we were returning back from our office he said he didn’t want to go home. Since I was staying alone I invited him to my home. He readily agreed. We shared a different bond, it wasn’t anything but holy. Our colleagues always used to give suspicious looks but we never cared. Every time I needed him, he was there by my side. He took care of me as if I mean something really important to him. Until that night I was considering all his love and care as friendship but the truth was something different. It would be a complete lie if I say I didn’t want him to touch me. My body always carved for his touch and it happened that night.

After having some wine, we were on my bed watching TV. The lights were turned off and everything inside the room was dark except the rays coming from the TV. It is then I felt his hand on my thighs. He moved his hand over my thighs and I felt good. My love, or call it lust was finally getting fulfilled. I looked at him and he was looking straight into my eyes. There was a spark in his eyes which were attracting me to him. I moved an inch closer. Few seconds later our lips met. I wasn’t sure how he felt but for me it was heavenly.

With every passing second the kiss got more passionate. He then took out my t-shirt and started kissing all over my body. He wasn’t kissing, but smooching my body parts. I could feel the thing behind his pants getting harder. Now it was my turn to kiss him. I pushed him into the bed and jumped on him. I touched his bare chest; it was more muscular than mine. Even the thing behind my pant was getting harder.

We made love that night and I would never mind making love with him again and again. Call me a Gay or whatever you want to, but I would never be ashamed of what I’m doing.

I don’t understand why the society peoples are so much interested in our life. If a male wants to spend his life with another male, what’s the big deal? Why isn’t it acceptable? Just because they can’t have SEX and give birth to BABIES, is it fair to restrict them from making love. If they are okay with their decision, who the hell are we to oppose them? I don’t understand why the Government of India is so much interested in our private life. Don’t they have anything else to do?
Being a GAY or LESBIAN isn’t a crime. We all have the liberty to choose our partners. Being a male if I’m satisfied with a male, why other’s hairs get burn???

Me: Before we begin the round of asking and replying, could you enlighten us a little about your book 'Breakup Before Love'.

Raj Singh: Basically, 'Breakup Before Love’ is a story of Ritu and Anoop. Anoop loves Ritu but never dares to propose her and when he decides to propose her, he got to know that she loves Samuel, one of her classmates. But, soon Ritu breaks up with Samuel and come back to Anoop life, who still has hope that one day he will propose her about his love. But all of sudden, one day something happens which changes their life. They become complete strangers for each other. They completes their studies and left the university forever. After three years, Anoop accidently sees her in a market in Kolkata. But he is confused whether she will recognize him or not. But will Ritu come back into his life again? Will she forgive him? And, will their life start over again? To know all these, one must read this book.

Me: It may sound personal but does the book is a pure work of fiction or it has something to do with real characters??

Raj Singh: No, it’s not a pure fiction. Breakup Before Love is inspired from real life characters I met during my college days but most of the characters mentioned in the book and incidents are fictional. But I have tried my best to give this book a proper shape and make it a realistic story that anybody can relate to his/her life

Me: Is there any specific book or incident that inspired you to write Breakup Before Love??

Raj Singh: Love and breakup have become very common and familiar words nowadays. We all know about breakup after love but there are some incidents of breakup which occurs before love as well but who cares? Please just ignore it but it inspired me to write my book “Breakup Before Love”.

Me: How does it really feel to be an author ?? Please do tell us a little about -pre and post author life.

Raj Singh: Being a writer itself is the best thing that every writer experiences. You would never regret for this and will feel very elated while showcasing your talent to the rest of the world. As far as about my life is concerned, I’m still what I was before my book getting published. I don’t see any changes in my life and don’t want people to change their approach towards me as well.

Me: Sorry for asking this but have you ever been rejected for your work (book) before ??

Raj Singh: Yes, my manuscript has also been rejected by many publishers. We all know that getting a book published is not an easy task and the real fight for a writer begins after finishing the manuscript. One has to put all his efforts to find a good and reputed publisher and during this period patience is the only key to get succeeded.

Me: Tell us something that we don't know about 'Raj Singh'.

Raj Singh: Haha…People know about me more than I know about myself and I don’t think there is anything else that I need to tell about.

Me: Can we expect another book from your pen in near future??

Raj Singh: Of course! I have already started working on my next book which is based on social issues, however, right now my full focus is on my latest book Breakup Before Love.

Me: Before ending this, I would request you to give some advice to the aspiring writers who want to be an author.

Raj Singh: To be very honest, I’m not a well-known writer who can give any suggestion or advice to other but I would like to share what I have learnt in my writing career. Never ever give up. Sometimes many obstacles would come in your way but you have to have belief in yourself then only you can reach your destiny. If you ever get frustrated, take a sabbatical, visit some places and then, again, sit with a pen and papers.

It was really great to have Raj Singh on my blog... I would really like to thank him for giving me the privilege to Interview him.

My Review:

I will start the review by thanking the author, Raj Singh for providing me a free copy of the book in exchange of an honest review. Trust me, I never do biasing while writing up my reviews. If I didn't like something, I confront it. Just because the Author has provided me a free copy, I can't do all praising for the book.

There is no need to describe the story. The book has a simple story that can be easily guessed from the Book Blurb. Anoop meets Ritu and falls for her. Ritu too loves Anoop but only as a friend. Just when Anoop gets sure about his feelings, Ritu falls for another guy. Anoop hearts break. Quite simple, right???

Oh! let me tell you, life isn't that simple, is it? The guy Ritu loves began torturing her. And months later they finally get separated. Even after knowing Ritu had a past relationship, Anoop proposes her. Now will Ritu accept Anoop's proposal and live happily ever after? or is there any twist in the tale? I don't want to act as a spoiler here. Read the book to know what happens next.

Likings: Easy read, Fast-paced, Never makes you bore, You can't get a better ending.

Disliking: None with the book but I had a question to the Author, Why Anoop always got late? Huh...he should have proposed earlier. (that was a PJ)

My Ratings: 4/5
(Must pick if you are looking for a light read after that heavy Thriller book)

My Review:

This week has been pretty awesome. I have been reading Indian author’s book back to back and none has disappointed me in the last 15 days. And now I can proudly say, this book was the best from the lot. Like every other Preeti Shenoy’s book, this book will leave a long lasting impression in the reader.

The story starts in a Labor Room. Yes you heard it right. The main protagonist of the story, Vipasha called as Vee by her friends is lying on a hospital bed and is about to give birth to her first child. She is just 19. The unborn child’s father wasn’t around her. He even asked her to abort the child. Not just he, but her parents too asked her to abort and start a new life. But Vee had decided, she went against the whole world, she chose no one but her baby. She even left a well settled modeling career; her baby was the only thing she needed.

Even after having rich parents, Vee decides to raise her child by her own earned money. Apart from working as a gym instructor, she owned Paw-Factor where she takes care of Dogs, when their owners go out for a vacation. The Author’s love for dogs can be clearly observed here.

Life isn’t that easy, is it? Things were quite normal until Aryan (her 15 year old son) urged to know about his father. Even after his mother’s resistant he tried to contact his father, Ankush.

Will Aryan be able to contact Ankush?? How the story would change if someday Vee meets Ankush again. There is a lot in the story which can’t be described in this review. To know all these, you have to read the book.

As always, Preeti Shenoy has written a master piece. You just can’t afford to miss. I tried finding out some faults in the story, so that I can criticize it in my review, but Preeti Ma’am disappointed me. *winks*.

My Ratings: 5/5
(You just can't afford to miss this book.. READ IT NOW !! )

My Review:

Nikita Singh, there is no need to say anything about the author. The name itself says a lot. Nikita Singh is one of my personal favorite and I never give a miss to her books. Though this time, I got a bit late in reading her book.

Have you ever come across a HIV patient? How would you react if you find someone with HIV positive? Would your behavior towards your best friend will change if you get to know she/he is having HIV??? There are many questions whose answers vary from one person to other.

Anyways coming back to the story, this book’s protagonist, Lavanya Suryavanshi is a well placed and well settled girl. With her strict demeanor she rules her profession world. But when she discovers that she is having HIV positive, her world comes to a screeching halt. She moves back to her hometown Delhi leaving behind the lavish life of New York.

At Delhi she meets her old friend Shourya Kapoor. Trust me girl, the way author has portrayed this man, you will surely fall for him. Lavanya knew she is going to die very soon, she picks up pen and paper and notes down her bucket list which has to be fulfilled before she dies. Unsure of what her friend is up to, Shourya decides to help her to complete the wishes and the story moves on.

Will Shourya fall for her or would Lavanya fall for him, to know you have to read the story. I don’t want to act as a spoiler here. I bet, you might not have read a story like this before.

With a gripping and fast paced story, Nikita Singh has waved her magic again.

My Ratings: 4.5/5
(A different kind love story which you just can't miss)
